German Canadian Club Hansa was established in 1958 by German immigrants who wanted to celebrate their heritage while embracing their new home in Canada.

The club’s official history describes Hansa as a non-profit German-Canadian cultural organization created from a desire to preserve heritage, promote cultural understanding and contribute to the wider community.
